The Charles Industries CFDP206-EPS is a 6-inch diameter Charles Fiber Distribution Point (CFDP) pedestal for fiber optic loop distribution cable and customer service drops in FTTP deployments. It uses a two-stage "enclosure within an enclosure" design: a weather-tight interior enclosure housed inside a non-metallic buried distribution pedestal, a combination designed to exceed Telcordia GR-771-CORE specifications and to protect against flooding, fire, dirt, debris, insects and corrosion. The lift-off outer dome has a self-locking mechanism and creates a patented "Bell-Jar Effect" for flood protection.
It accommodates loop-through and stub-out distribution cable, ribbon and loose buffer tube cable, branch and drop splices and fiber slack storage. Optional accessories include additional 24-fiber splice trays, 36"/42" mounting stakes and a universal pole mount bracket.
