Duct Seal Compound is a permanently soft, non-toxic, putty-type compound that adheres to most clean dry surfaces. It is asbestos-free and will not damage plastic materials, corrode metals, or have adverse effect on human skin. It can be hand applied from 25°F to 120°F and provides an air/water-tight seal. It is resistant to water, alcohols, mild acids and bases, and is non-corrosive and non-irritant. It can be hand-shaped to any form and reused if necessary, with many applications in HVAC/R, plumbing, and metal fabrication, as well as a general purpose sealant. It may be painted immediately after applying and will not bleed through dry paint film. It is designed to seal around the ends of electrical conduits and boxes, flashings, and service mast entries. It has excellent adhesion properties, remains permanently soft, is non-staining, USDA acceptable, has no vehicle bleed out, is FDA approved, UL classified, and has dielectric strength to 100V per mil.
