The Superior Essex R10963D01 is a 96 core Dri-Lite® Ribbon Cable Series R1D Reduced Water Peak Single-Mode cable. This cable specifically designed for outside plant (OSP) applications such as lashed aerial and underground duct installations. It contains optical ribbons housed in a dry core tube, eliminating the mess and labor associated with gel-filled cables. Each core tube holds up to twenty-four 12-fiber or 24-fiber ribbons, with clearly identified and easy-peel ribbons for fast breakout and efficient fiber management. The cable uses dry water-blocking elements and a water-blocking tape wrap to ensure moisture protection. Longitudinal strength elements are added over the core for mechanical durability, all enclosed in a rugged black jacket with a ripcord for easy access.

The core tube is wrapped with a water-blocking tape. Longitudinal strength elements are applied over the core tube and encased within a black jacket. A rip cord is included under the jacket for easy access to the core tube.
