The 3M EMS Mini-Marker 1255 (3M ID 7100177966) is a passive electronic underground utility marker, supplied as a case of 50. 3M states that EMS Mini Markers provide an accurate, convenient, long lasting method of marking underground facilities at depths of up to 6 ft (1.8 m) from marker to locator, and that they are ideally suited for marking the location of utilities for increased safety on the job.
This version is colour-coded orange for the Telephone utility type; 3M's Locating and Marking System brochure lists catalogue number 1255 as the EMS Mini-Marker for telephone facilities, with the Mini-Marker designed to maintain a stable position after placement. Markers are read in the field with compatible 3M Dynatel EMS locators.
3M notes this product is for industrial/occupational use only, not for consumer sale or use.
