The Prysmian XSPSG00467 is a 1x4 planar lightwave circuit (PLC) optical splitter supplied pre-connectorised with SC/APC connectors on both the input and the output legs. The legs use 900µm fibre and are 1.5 m long, allowing the device to be installed directly into joints, distribution cabinets, wall boxes and other passive optical network hardware.
PLC splitters provide a compact and reliable method of splitting an optical signal, with excellent uniformity and low polarisation dependent loss, making them suitable for FTTx, PON, CATV and CWDM/DWDM applications. Prysmian's PLC splitter range covers configurations up to 64 outputs and can be supplied with other connector styles such as FC, ST, E2000 and LC on request.
